Report sull’asta serale di Sotheby’s

La Evening Sale di Sotheby’s ha totalizzato 74,934,850 GBP. 15 lotti sono andati invenduti su 48 offerti. Il prevedibile top price dell’asta è stato il dipinto di Mirò “PEINTURE (ÉTOILE BLEUE)” che partendo da una stima di 15,000,000-20,000,000 GBP, è stato aggiudicato a 23,561,250 GBP, realizzando il nuovo record mondiale per l’artista. Molte aggiudicazioni sopra il milione di sterline. Il gruppetto di opere di WASSILY KANDINSKY a metà catalogo circa (lotti 18-24), ha dato ottimi risultati. Solo un lotto su otto è rimasto invenduto. Per gli altri aggiudicazioni nelle stime o superiori alla stima massima. Tra le aggiudicazioni di rilievo HOMME ASSIS del 1972 di  PABLO PICASSO, acquistato alla stima minima 6,201,250 GBP  e PIERRE BONNARD con NU DEBOUT, dipinto intorno al 1931, venduto per  4,521,250 GBP. Il lotto 2, ALEXEJ VON JAWLENSKY era presentato a 800,000-1,200,000 GBP ed è stato aggiudicato a 2,505,250 GBP, più del doppio della stima massima. Una scultura di Henry Moore del ’56 ha realizzato 3,737,250 GBP, più del doppio della stima minima. Una scultura di Giacometti , offerta a 800,000-1,200,000 GBP, ha realizzato 2,169,250 GBP. Un dipinto di ERNST LUDWIG KIRCHNER, (DANCE GROUP), è stato conteso tra più buyers. Offerto a 400,000-600,000 GBP, è stato venduto per  735,650 GBP. “LA PROMESSE” di RENÉ MAGRITTE era presentato a 350,000-500,000 GBP ed è passato di mano per 769,250 GBP. Tra gli invenduti il dipinto di PAUL DELVAUX del ’45. Era stimato 2,000,000-3,000,000 GBP e non ha trovato un nuovo acquirente. Stessa sorte per il dipinto di OTTO DIX (SEATED NUDE WITH BLOND HAIR) che era presentato a 4,000,000-6,000,000 GBP.  EDVARD MUNCH, dopo il record mondiale realizzato nella storica asta del 2 maggio con “L’Urlo”, era presente con due opere, un ritratto del 1916 e un paesaggio del 1929. Entrambi sono andati invenduti.

La Evening Sale di Christie’s ha totalizzato 92,366,300 di sterline. 16 lotti invenduti su 71 presentati in asta, tra cui anche grandi nomi come Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, lotto 47 “Der Krankenwärter” (stima £500,000 – £700,0000). Wassily Kandinsky, lotto 49 dal titolo “Diagonale” (stima £1,200,000 – £1,600,000) e sempre di Kandinsky il lotto 52 “Loses im Rot” (stima £2,500,000 – £3,500,000). Unsold anche Pablo Picasso, lotto 50 “Partition, bouteille de porto, guitare, cartes à jouer” (stima £2,800,000 – £3,500,000).
