La Evening Sale di “Old Master & British Paintings” ha realizzato 11,562,250 sterline con 25 lotti unsold su 54 offerti. Uno dei top lot annunciati prima della vendita si è aggiudicato il primo posto nella lista dei top price: “The Meeting of Odysseus and Nausicaa” di Jacob Jordaens* è stato venduto per £2,057,250 ed era offerto a £500,000 – £800,000. Nuovo record mondiale per l’artista. Molte altre aggiudicazioni ben sopra le stime. Tra queste: il primo lotto in catalogo, un olio su tavola di 112.4×87.7 cm della Scuola di Asburgo (“Christ taking leave of his Mother, with a donor family kneeling in the foreground”) era offerto a 60/80.000 sterline. E’ stato aggiudicato a 133,250. Cifra davvero eclatante quella realizzata dal lotto n° 3: “Suffer the Little Children to Come unto Me”, del 1538 di Lucas Cranach I (1472-1553) che era presentato a una stima di £250,000-350,000 ma è stato aggiudicato a 1,049,250 £, quasi tre volte la stima massima.
