Il dado è tratto! Pubblicata la lista 200 Top Collectors 2015 di ARTNews, giunta quest’anno alla 25 edizione.
Secondo la storica rivista c’è stato un forte aumento della domanda che ha spinto il mercato dell’arte in un territorio inesplorato. I collezionisti cinesi sono cresciuti incredibilmente, molti hanno preferito rimanere anonimi mentre altri hanno dichiarato i propri acquisti, come Wang Zhongjun che ha acquistato un Picasso (Femme au Chignon Dans un Fauteuil) per $ 30 milioni da Sotheby’s lo scorso maggio e Wang Jianlin che ha comprato un Monet per 20,4 milioni dollari (delle Ninfee, sempre da Sotheby’s a maggio).
Molti i nuovi collectors provenienti da tutto il mondo. Uno storico traguardo è stato proprio il maggio newyorkese e in particolare l’asta dei record di Christie’s “Looking Forward to the Past“
“We are definitely in a bubble” ha dichiarato l’art advisor Todd Levin, direttore del Levin Art Group ad ARTNews. Ma poi ha spiegato che quando le persone sentono la parola “bolla”, subito pensano che stia per scoppiare. Mentre in realtà le bolle si gonfiano e si sgonfiano in differenti modi. E nessuno può saperne la durata o quando avranno fine.
