Il Whitney Museum acquisisce 32 opere della Whitney Biennial 2017, tra cui Samara Golden e Raúl de Nieves.

Grazie a un’impennata di donazioni, la Whitney Collection di New York ha acquisito 32 opere della Biennale di quest’anno, rispetto alle 12 acquisizioni che hanno fatto seguito all’ultima edizione della manifestazione.

Le nuove acquisizioni e includono le installazioni di Samara Golden, Raúl de Nieves e il ritratto di Henry Taylor di Philando Castile, nonché i lavori di molti artisti che entreranno a far parte della collezione per la prima volta. Tra questi ci sono Celeste Dupuy-Spencer, Shara Hughes, Carrie Moyer, Puppies Puppies e Jessie Reeves.
