La prima vendita  senza Simon de Pury nelle sale della casa d’asta con il nuovo assetto e nuovo nome (“Phillips” invece che “Phillips de Pury”) si svolgerà giovedì 14 febbraio a Londra, durate la settimana calda dell’arte contempoanea.

Tra Evening e Day Sale i lotti che andranno all’incanto sono 197 per una stima  complessiva  che si aggira tra i  £16,822,000 e i £24,270,000 ($26,578,311/$38,345,952).

Nell’asta serale saranno offerti 36 lotti  per una stima di  £12,700,000/ 18,360,000 ($20,065,598/$29,008,219). Tra gli highlight: Jean-Michel Basquiat, Untitled, del 1982, presentato a £1,800,000–2,500,000; Damien Hirst, Forgotten Promises, 2010 (st. £1,500,000 – 2,500,000); Christopher Wool, Untitled (P271), 1997, st.£1,300,000–1,800,000; Jean-Michel Basquiat, For B.A.M., 1985, st. £1,200,000–1,800,000; Andy Warhol, Brillo Soap Pads Box, 1964, st. £600,000–800,000; Cecily Brown, East of Eden, 1999, st. £600,000 – 800,000. Mark Grotjahn, Untitled (Black and Canary Yellow Butterfly) #699, 2008 st. £250,000 – 350,000.

Phillips is pleased to present a range of outstanding works by internationally renowned artists in its London February Evening sale on the 14th February. Highlights include a stunning Basquiat work on paper from 1982 at 1.8-2.5 million GBP and an excpetional Christopher Wool enamel on aluminum ‘frame painting’ from 1997 at 1.3-1.8 million GBP.
