Il lotto 57, un’opera di William Turner, “Roma Moderna – Campo Vaccino“, era stimata tra i 12 e i 18 milioni di sterline: nella battuta finale ha più che raddoppiato la stima minima (è stato aggiudicato a: 29,721,250 GBP). E’ senza dubbio tra le più importanti opere di Turner mai presentate prima all’asta.
