Christie’s ha messo in vendita la collezione privata di L.S. Lowry. Si tratta di sei dipinti e rappresenta il lavoro dell’artista dal 1944 al 1963. Il pezzo più importante è “Good Friday, Daisy Nook”, lotto 114, venduto a 3,772,000 £. Non appariva all’asta dal 1970 quando fu venduto a £ 16,800 e stabilì un prezzo record per l’artista. In questa occasione partiva da una stima compresa fra 1,000,000-1,500,000 di sterline.
