L’arte orientale arriva a Firenze. L’intero corpus delle opere a catalogo viene battuto da Pandolfini in unica seduta il 16 giugno a Palazzo Ramirez-Montalvo. I lotti posti in vendita sono 332, tra giade, coralli, avori, porcellane e bronzi. Molti provengono da una collezione privata.
Tra i bronzi si pone l’attenzione su un nucleo interessante di opere brunite e dorate delle dinastie Ming e Qing, raffiguranti il Buddha e altre dinività di area Cino Tibetana.
Tra gli oggetti “d’uso” si ricordano varie e raffinate snuff bottles del sec. XIX, alcuni tessuti in seta ricamata della dinastia Ming e Qing.
