Lunedì 29 giugno l’Assemblea Generale del Syndicat National des Antiquaires (SNA) riunita nella sede parigina ha votato la trasformazione della Biennale des Antiquaires di Parigi in evento annuale.
Oltre il 67% dei membri ha votato a favore della proposta. Il risultato non era scontato dato che richiedeva, oltre al raggiungimento dei due terzi dei voti favorevoli, anche il superamento del quorum, ovvero la partecipazione di almeno il 50% degli antiquari.
Estremamente soddisfatto il presidente SNA Dominique Chevalier, che ne aveva fatto uno dei punti cardine della sua candidatura: “Questa trasformazione è parte integrante della nostra strategia per il futuro. Ci permette di competere con altre manifestazioni ottimizzando i costi di allestimenti e partecipazione”.

La Biennale des Antiquaires, in attesa di un probabile nuovo nome, entra dunque a far parte del calendario degli eventi d’arte annuali: dal TEFAF di Maastricht al BRAFA di Bruxelles a Frieze Masters e Masterpiece di Londra.
