“Varata” oggi, 21 giugno, la piattaforma di Christo a Londra. 7.506 barili di petrolio galleggiano nel lago Serpentine all’interno di Hyde Park. E’ l’ultimo progetto di Christo – che inaugura questa sera dalle 19.30 alle 22 – a due anni da quello del Lago di Iseo “The Floating Piers”. La nuova struttura è ispirata alle “mastabe”, monumentali tombe a tumulo dell’antico Egitto. E’ alta una ventina di metri e pesa 500 tonnellate. I colori dominanti sono il bianco, il rosso e il blu, come richiamo alla bandiera inglese.
