Nella fittissima serie di proposte dell’art week parigina (potete trovare il nostro speciale qui) era la mostra-evento più attesa: la grande retrospettiva dedicata a Mark Rothko (1903-1970) alla Fondation Louis Vuitton, la prima dopo quella del Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris del 1999.
Nel percorso espositivo, aperto al pubblico da ieri fino al 2 aprile 2024, circa 115 opere provenienti da importanti collezioni istituzionali e private internazionali, tra cui la National Gallery of Art di Washington, la famiglia dell’artista e la Tate Gallery di Londra. Distribuita in tutta la Fondazione, la mostra segue un itinerario cronologico, ripercorrendo l’intera carriera dell’artista, dai suoi primi dipinti figurativi all’astrazione.
