FRANCIS BACON 1909 – 1992 THREE STUDIES FOR PORTRAIT OF GEORGE DYER stima 15,000,000 — 20,000,000 GBP In asta da Sotheby’s, 30/06/2014 SOLD FOR £26,682,500
Già annunciato come top lot dell’asta, Three studies for a portrait of George Dyer (on light ground) partiva da una stima di £15-20 milioni.
Confermano le stime gli altri due Bacon in catalogo: Study for portrait of P.L., No. 1 assegnato a £4,50,500 e (Seated man) venduto per £2,098,500.
Altri tre i record mondiali d’artista .
£1,762,500 è invece il risultato dell’unico Basquiat in catalogo (At Large ).
