L’asta “A Show Of Hands: Photographs from The Collection of Henry Buhl” ha registrato un totale di $12,318,704, il terzo per una collezione di fotografia e il più alto per una collezione privata di fotografia.
“Important Photographs from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, including Works from The Gilman Paper Company Collection” nel 2006 detiene il record per una collezione proveniente da un’istituzione ( for an institutional photographs collection); e Photographs from The Polaroid Collection ha registrato il totale più alto per una collezione di fotografia proveniente da un’impresa (the highest total for a corporate collection of photograph) nel 2010.
“Lonely Metropolitan” di Herbert Bayer e “Fotogramm” di László Moholy-Nagy sono stati i top price dell’asta, venduti entrambi a $1,482,500. Tra gli altri highlight “Rayograph with Hand, Lens, and Egg” di Man Ray che ha realizzato $866,500, partendo da una stima di $250/350,000 e “Georgia O’Keeffe — Hands and Thimble” di Alfred Stieglitz aggiudicata a $770,500.
