La prima vendita serale senza Simon de Pury (sostituito da un giovane Alexander Gilkes) di Phillips a Londra del 14 febbraio ha totalizzato £9,762,950 ($15,132,573/ € 11,227,393) vendendo 80% per valore e 82% per lotto. Dunque un risultato inferiore alla stima pre-asta di £10.4-14.8 milioni. Sono stati realizzati nuovi record mondiali per giovani artisti: Nate Lowman con “Green Escalade” venduto £337,250 ($522,738/ € 387,838) e Ryan Sullivan con “July24, 2011 – September 28, 2011” venduto a £91,250 ($141,438/ € 104,938). Ottimi risultati anche per Basquiat e Christopher Wool.
